Minecraft Mania- Wicked Cool Minecraft is back! Using the updated Minecraft Education platform, Minecraft Mania skillfully blends virtual and real-world learning experiences for maximum learning and fun. In the morning, become an intrepid explorer using a Minecraft avatar to dive into the wonders of engineering, physics, and biology to build our own Wicked Cool Minecraft town. Follow up with fun companion hands-on STEAM lessons to learn about engineering, biology and physics. The Mania continues as we do a dino dig and learn the properties of real rocks and minerals found in Minecraft. Complete the week with a creative Kiwi Crate Geologist Starter Kit and kick off your collection with real samples of obsidian, calcite, sandstone and pyrite (aka fool’s’ gold).
Lego Bricq Physics- LEGO BricQ Physics is an exploration of forces and motion through testing design solutions. Modify your LEGO designs to get the optimum pull or push needed to make things go. Engineer a change in the speed or direction of an object with a push or a pull. Create an obstacle course for a dog, build a spring launcher for a race car derby and make a Minifigure dance party. Continue the challenges with LEGO engineering olympics as we compete in track and field, bobsled and weight lifting fun. End strong and drive to the hoop by building a Kiwi Crate Basketball Catapult to take home.
Rocket Science- Join us for New England’s ultimate Rocket Science experience, and launch into the world of space exploration! Our Rocket Science morning session features the thrilling customizable E2X model rocket. Keep a captain’s log and explore the wonders of the solar system. Chart distant constellations, create dazzling moon rocks, and whip up some galaxy slime. Feel the adrenaline at the high-flying solid fuel rocket launch at the week's end (weather permitting). Who’s ready to blast off? Each rocket scientist will receive an Astronaut Starter Kit Kiwi Crate to make a mini spinning solar system and an air powered shuttle launcher. Afternoon explorers will also enjoy free-choice educational space activities including crafting space models, creative spacey art projects, and solar science experiments for an out of this world experience.
Hogwarts STEAM Express- All aboard the 2025 Hogwarts STEAM Express! Join us on Platform 9 3⁄4 for a week of science magic and fun filled learning. Engage in potion mastery, crafting sparkling and fizzing magical brews, and explore herbology and the senses with real dried plants and herbs to create a potions ingredient jar. Use invisible ink like the marauder’s map to create secret messages. Dive into divination and make a color changing crystal ball as we look to see what the future holds. Wizards will make a Kiwi Crate Solar Lantern to safely explore the forbidden forest and learn about the power of the sun! Afternoon free choice STEAM activities will enchant any wizarding fan. Make spellbinding glow in the dark jewelry and a monster book (of monsters). Create your own magical creatures and a custom wicked cool wand.
