Please see below for program descriptions:Baby Bombers- Intro to baseball for preschool aged children.Little Bombers Big League- The class teaches baseball fundamentals such as hitting, fielding, (outfield and infield) throwing mechanics, catching, pitching and base running, in a skills and drills type format.All Sports- Intro to Sports for preschool aged children. Each week they rotate through our sports options (basketball, baseball, tennis, gymnastics, soccer, dance, karate)Bitty Bball- Intro to Basketball for preschool aged children.Tiny Dancers- Creative movement class that explores the beginnings of ballet & tap technique. Dancers will learn to follow directions in a structured environment, rhythmic dance, stretching, body awareness, gross motor skills & socialization while using props, fun music and games throughout the class. *Has an end of session performance.Tumble Tots Gymnastics- 2.5 to 5-year-old classes enhance emerging gymnastics skills in an energetic and creative environment. This class is a wonderful place for first-time experiences with a teacher and peers! At ages 4 and 5, children refine basic skills that reinforce a heightened aptitude for all physical sports activities. This class offers great challenges to the older preschooler on scaled-down gymnastics equipment.Beginner Gymnastics- From the very beginner gymnast to the more advanced, everyone continues to learn! We cater to each child and their learning ability. Our recreational gymnastics program at The Shrewsbury Club is a non-competitive program that concentrates on introductory gymnastics skills, flexibility, strength, balance and loads of fun! Enjoy group exercise programs offered by the Rec Department! Descriptions below.MetaFit- Short, intense and rewarding. Metafit is the true HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) workout and is designed to boost your fitness level, rocket your energy levels & get massive results in the shortest amount of time possible. Metafit is all bodyweight moves and is only 30 minutes long! The "afterburn" from a Metafit workout lasts a minimum 24 hours and up to 48 hours after the workout! That means you are burning fat even in your sleep!!Yoga- This Yoga class offers a moderately paced sequence through the traditional Yoga poses with guidance to unite your breath & body. Class is accessible to all levels of practitioners. (Yoga experience helpful, but not necessary.) Classes will include building strength in the core, balance in the body, as well as increasing flexibility and range of motion. All classes include elements of strength, endurance, stillness and reflection. Come away from your Yoga practice with decreased stress and anxiety, bringing you back to a calm and grounded center.Pilates- Let’s build a strong “Powerhouse” together. Our Pilates workout will focus on toning and strengthening the core muscle groups, increase flexibility and control, improve posture and balance, and ease of movement through daily life. It is a great stress reliever. You will need to bring a Pilate’s mat and water to class. Let’s strengthen our mind and body core together.Zumba- This is a fun way to condition and exercise your body. It is dance based aerobic class with Latino moves and music, spiced with other great styles – twist, hip hop, country dance, tango, 70’s, and belly dance. You will work up a sweat not even knowing that you are exercising. No experience required, anyone can join and have fun with us. You will need to bring water to class.

3:30 PM - 4:30 PM    Afterschool Programs at SGES - SuperSports FAST SGES Fall Session 2
Enjoy programs afterschool at SGES. PLEASE NOTE- YOUR CHILD MUST ATTEND SGES TO PARTICIPATE IN THESE PROGRAMS.SuperSports- Get up, get going, get active with a F.A.S.T. Athletics Outside Sports Program. F.A.S.T. Athletics will offer a variety of sports each week such as: Soccer, Mat Ball, Basketball, Dodgeball, and Kickball. Programs will include proper stretching and warm-up games as well as learning basic skills of each sport, each class will end with a high energy game with the sport played that day.Little Yogi's by Little Roots Yoga- Each week Ms. Marcy will lead your child through fun-filled themed yoga poses, breathing exercises, games, music, mindful activities, and relaxation techniques. While improving their flexibility, coordination, balance and strength, they will also be learning how to self-regulate, calm their bodies and minds, and increase their confidence. Kids will enjoy a variety of themes like Zoo Animals, Gratitude, Pirates, Kindness, Feelings and Colors, Space, Farm Animals and more.  Yoga Mat’s will be provided.

Level 4- Level 4 swim lessons are a significant step in honing one's swimming abilities, offering a well-rounded program that prepares individuals for recreational swimming and even competitive swimming if desired.  Adult- Our Adult Beginners Swim Class is tailored for adults with little to no prior swimming experience who are eager to learn how to swim or improve their confidence in the water.  A+ Karate (ages 6-13)-  This new program caters to children who exhibit neurodiversity, particularly those with level 1 Autism Spectrum Disorder, along with individuals diagnosed with other mild forms of neurodivergence. The class size will remain intentionally small, with potential for additional slots based on demand. Each session will run for approximately 30 to 45 minutes.

See the descriptions below:Adult Tennis- Led by an approved USTA Net Generation tennis coach, the program will focus on developing the skills to serve, rally and play - so it’s perfect for beginners and first-time players. Once the skills are there, participants will play fun matches with other players in the program. This program uses modified tennis balls, age-appropriate rackets, court sizes, and the latest fun and engaging activities that help players successfully learn and play the game quicker!Women's Softball- Join Grafton Recreation as we take part in recreational league play with Southborough Recreation, Northborough Recreation and Hudson Recreation. This league is not super competitive, but if you sign up, you must have some experience playing. (*PLEASE NOTE- THERE ARE NO GUARANTEES OF TEAMMATE PLACEMENTS. The indoor courts will be based upon a first come first serve basis of registered participants.Hiking with Conservation & Recreation - Join Conservation Staff on a guided 1 mile hike at Great Meadow to learn about the property.  There are segments of the trail with moderate inclines, as well as a few known muddy areas.  Wear shoes you don’t mind getting dirty. Hike will meet at 12 George Hill. Please dress for the weather. Reflective gear recommended, you will be provided reflective gear if you do not have any.

Metafit is the true HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) workout and is designed to boost your fitness level, rocket your energy levels & get massive results in the shortest amount of time possible. Metafit is all bodyweight moves and is only 30 minutes long! The "afterburn" from a Metafit workout lasts a minimum 24 hours and up to 48 hours after the workout! That means you are burning fat even in your sleep!!Yoga- This Yoga class offers a moderately paced sequence through the traditional Yoga poses with guidance to unite your breath & body. Class is accessible to all levels of practitioners. (Yoga experience helpful, but not necessary.) Classes will include building strength in the core, balance in the body, as well as increasing flexibility and range of motion. All classes include elements of strength, endurance, stillness and reflection. Come away from your Yoga practice with decreased stress and anxiety, bringing you back to a calm and grounded center.Pilates- Let’s build a strong “Powerhouse” together. Our Pilates workout will focus on toning and strengthening the core muscle groups, increase flexibility and control, improve posture and balance, and ease of movement through daily life. Athletics Outside Sports Program. F.A.S.T. Athletics will offer a variety of sports each week such as: Soccer, Mat Ball, Basketball, Dodgeball, and Kickball. Programs will include proper stretching and warm-up games as well as learning basic skills of each sport, each class will end with a high energy game with the sport played that day.Little Yogi's by Little Roots Yoga- Each week Ms. Marcy will lead your child through fun-filled themed yoga poses, breathing exercises, games, music, mindful activities, and relaxation techniques. While improving their flexibility, coordination, balance and strength, they will also be learning how to self-regulate, calm their bodies and minds, and increase their confidence. All skill levels are welcome, so whether you're a seasoned RoboThinker or a curious beginner, come join the fun and let the battles begin!Battle Robots: Tanks: We’re back again for round two! This battle-themed camp has students building a variety of different tanks, completing tons of different challenges and doing a bunch of robot battling! This program is designed for seasoned RoboThinkers, but newbies are always welcome– just prepare for a challenge! Demolition Robots: Calling all construction enthusiasts! It's time to put on your hard hats and dive into the world of construction with RoboThink! Get ready to take charge of your own bustling jobsite and create a whole city of your dreams. From operating a dump truck to demolishing structures with a mighty wrecking ball, this camp offers an incredible experience for young builders like you! Don't worry if you've never done it before– with RoboThink by your side, you'll be a construction pro in no time! Nailed It Halloween & Thanksgiving - Just like on the popular TV baking show, kids will be tasked with a challenge to re-create a complex confectionary masterpiece using pre-made ingredients like fondant, cake, cupcakes, rice krispies, and various frostings/icings based on a Fall Halloween and Thanksgiving Themes. No experience necessary, just bring yourself and your imagination! This class is designed for infants and toddlers, typically ranging from 6 months to 3 years old, accompanied by a parent or guardian.  Level 1- In Level 1, participants will learn basic water acclimation and familiarization Level 2- Level 2 swim lessons are the next step for individuals who have already completed Level 1 or have some basic water experience.  Level 3- Level 3 swim lessons are designed for individuals who have completed Level 2 or have a basic understanding of water safety and stroke techniques. Level 4- Level 4 swim lessons are a significant step in honing one's swimming abilities, offering a well-rounded program that prepares individuals for recreational swimming and even competitive swimming if desired.  Adult- Our Adult Beginners Swim Class is tailored for adults with little to no prior swimming experience who are eager to learn how to swim or improve their confidence in the water.  A+ Karate (ages 6-13)-  This new program caters to children who exhibit neurodiversity, particularly those with level 1 Autism Spectrum Disorder, along with individuals diagnosed with other mild forms of neurodivergence. Metafit is the true HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) workout and is designed to boost your fitness level, rocket your energy levels & get massive results in the shortest amount of time possible. Metafit is all bodyweight moves and is only 30 minutes long! The "afterburn" from a Metafit workout lasts a minimum 24 hours and up to 48 hours after the workout! That means you are burning fat even in your sleep!!Yoga- This Yoga class offers a moderately paced sequence through the traditional Yoga poses with guidance to unite your breath & body. Class is accessible to all levels of practitioners. (Yoga experience helpful, but not necessary.) Classes will include building strength in the core, balance in the body, as well as increasing flexibility and range of motion. All classes include elements of strength, endurance, stillness and reflection. Come away from your Yoga practice with decreased stress and anxiety, bringing you back to a calm and grounded center.Pilates- Let’s build a strong “Powerhouse” together. Enjoy a variety of programs by FAST Athletics! Program descriptions below.Street Hockey- Come join F.A.S.T. Athletics for some street hockey fun. Fundamentals of hockey will be taught through training stations the first portion of the course. One-timers, passing, shooting and dribbling will be some of the training focus in the beginning. After the instructional period is over, each day will end with a good old fashion street hockey game. At the beginning of class; we will remind the students of safety and good sportsmanship.Mini Sports- This program is a combination of warm-up games and sports such as soccer, kickball, and tball. It will ease children into learning the basics of all these great games as well as teaching them the importance of team work! Each class F.A.S.T. Athletics will have new and exciting games planned for the students.Flag Football- F.A.S.T. Athletics will teach everyone game strategies, catching techniques and most importantly how to work together as a team. The students will be able to participate in different situational games such as Red Zone Defense, fourth and inches, and The QB Challenge as they learn the importance of fair play. Each class will end with a simulated game broken down into 4 quarters – the coaches will have tons of plays ready to go for their teams!Multi Sports- Get up, get going, get active with a F.A.S.T. Athletics Multi Sports Program. F.A.S.T. Athletics will offer a variety of sports each class such as: Soccer, Mat Ball, Dodgeball, and Kickball to name a few! AS OF JULY 17, THERE ARE NO MORE TABLES AVAILABLE. YOU CAN BE ADDED TO THE WAIT LIST AT THIS TIME.The Grafton Recreation Department will be hosting a Holiday Craft and Vendor Fair at Grafton High School on Sunday, December 8, 2024 in conjunction with the town-wide event, Grafton Celebrates the Holidays. The fair will be held from 10:00am -2:30pm at the high school.To acquire a space, please register online. All applications will be reviewed. E-mails will be sent with the status of your application as they are processed. Selection will be based on bringing a variety of offerings to the Fair. If you are selected to be a vendor, payment is due to hold your space within 7 days of notification. If payment is not received when due, your space will be filled by the next applicable vendor.After receipt of payment, details will be sent regarding set up and breakdown times, table #, vendor parking and other pertinent information.Proceeds benefit the Grafton Recreation Scholarship Fund. The fee is non-refundable. You will be provided with an 8’ table and two chairs along with your space. The full space is 10 feet wide by 5 feet front to back. Tables in the Gym will be $45. A second space and a 6 foot table is available for an additional $35 fee. If you bring your own table(s), there will be a $10 discount. Electricity is limited; please request and it will be given on a first come, first served basis.Table assignments will be made by the Recreation Department. The option of specific table preferences are not available this year as the floor plan is uncertain at this time. Enjoy a wide variety of adult sports programs. See the descriptions below:Adult Tennis- Led by an approved USTA Net Generation tennis coach, the program will focus on developing the skills to serve, rally and play - so it’s perfect for beginners and first-time players. Once the skills are there, participants will play fun matches with other players in the program. This program uses modified tennis balls, age-appropriate rackets, court sizes, and the latest fun and engaging activities that help players successfully learn and play the game quicker!Women's Softball- Join Grafton Recreation as we take part in recreational league play with Southborough Recreation, Northborough Recreation and Hudson Recreation. This league is not super competitive, but if you sign up, you must have some experience playing. (*PLEASE NOTE- THERE ARE NO GUARANTEES OF TEAMMATE PLACEMENTS. IF YOU DECIDE TO CANCEL DUE TO YOUR TEAM ASSIGNMENT, YOU WILL BE ASSESSED THE CANCELLATION FEE).Adult Pick Up Games- Come and be a kid again! We are planning some FUN, LAUGHTER, and good ol' fashioned GAMES on Friday nights! No stress - "just for fun" games such as badminton, kickball, yard games, recess games & more. Leave your stress at the door and come play for the night! Baby sitting is provided for children in grades K through 5.Indoor Winter Pickle Ball (Residents Only)- Calling all Grafton Resident Pickle Ball enthusiasts. Enjoy the winter indoor program option during the cold months. The indoor courts will be based upon a first come first serve basis of registered participants.Hiking with Conservation & Recreation - Join Conservation Staff on a guided 1 mile hike at Great Meadow to learn about the property.  There are segments of the trail with moderate inclines, as well as a few known muddy areas.  Wear shoes you don’t mind getting dirty. Hike will meet at 12 George Hill. Please dress for the weather. Reflective gear recommended, you will be provided reflective gear if you do not have any.

Programs will include proper stretching and warm-up games as well as learning basic skills of each sport, each class will end with a high energy game with the sport played that day.Little Yogi's by Little Roots Yoga- Each week Ms. Marcy will lead your child through fun-filled themed yoga poses, breathing exercises, games, music, mindful activities, and relaxation techniques. Hike will meet at 12 George Hill. Please dress for the weather. Reflective gear recommended, you will be provided reflective gear if you do not have any.

Enjoy a variety of programs by FAST Athletics! Program descriptions below.Street Hockey- Come join F.A.S.T. Athletics for some street hockey fun. Fundamentals of hockey will be taught through training stations the first portion of the course. One-timers, passing, shooting and dribbling will be some of the training focus in the beginning. After the instructional period is over, each day will end with a good old fashion street hockey game. At the beginning of class; we will remind the students of safety and good sportsmanship.Mini Sports- This program is a combination of warm-up games and sports such as soccer, kickball, and tball. It will ease children into learning the basics of all these great games as well as teaching them the importance of team work! Each class F.A.S.T. Athletics will have new and exciting games planned for the students.Flag Football- F.A.S.T. Athletics will teach everyone game strategies, catching techniques and most importantly how to work together as a team. The students will be able to participate in different situational games such as Red Zone Defense, fourth and inches, and The QB Challenge as they learn the importance of fair play. Each class will end with a simulated game broken down into 4 quarters – the coaches will have tons of plays ready to go for their teams!Multi Sports- Get up, get going, get active with a F.A.S.T. Athletics Multi Sports Program. F.A.S.T. Athletics will offer a variety of sports each class such as: Soccer, Mat Ball, Dodgeball, and Kickball to name a few! Programs will include proper stretching and warm-up games as well as learning basic skills of each sport, each class will end with a high energy game with the sport played that day.Mini Hoops -This class is created for those entering Kindergarten in 2024 and already in Kindergarten. Children will work on having fun while learning some fundamentals of basketball. There will be lots of team games, as well as parental participation to encourage the children! Enjoy group exercise programs offered by the Rec Department! Descriptions below.MetaFit- Short, intense and rewarding. Metafit is the true HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) workout and is designed to boost your fitness level, rocket your energy levels & get massive results in the shortest amount of time possible. Metafit is all bodyweight moves and is only 30 minutes long! The "afterburn" from a Metafit workout lasts a minimum 24 hours and up to 48 hours after the workout! That means you are burning fat even in your sleep!!Yoga- This Yoga class offers a moderately paced sequence through the traditional Yoga poses with guidance to unite your breath & body. Class is accessible to all levels of practitioners. (Yoga experience helpful, but not necessary.) Classes will include building strength in the core, balance in the body, as well as increasing flexibility and range of motion. All classes include elements of strength, endurance, stillness and reflection. Come away from your Yoga practice with decreased stress and anxiety, bringing you back to a calm and grounded center.Pilates- Let’s build a strong “Powerhouse” together. Our Pilates workout will focus on toning and strengthening the core muscle groups, increase flexibility and control, improve posture and balance, and ease of movement through daily life. It is a great stress reliever. You will need to bring a Pilate’s mat and water to class. Let’s strengthen our mind and body core together.Zumba- This is a fun way to condition and exercise your body. It is dance based aerobic class with Latino moves and music, spiced with other great styles – twist, hip hop, country dance, tango, 70’s, and belly dance. You will work up a sweat not even knowing that you are exercising. No experience required, anyone can join and have fun with us. You will need to bring water to class.

Kids will have a set amount of time to create and decorate confections based on Spring Time Themes like Earth Day, Spring Flowers, Baby Animals & more!We will be working with cupcakes, cookies, frosting, fondant and decorations! All ingredients used are nut-free however; some pre-made ingredients may be processed in a facility that also processes nuts.Food Imposters- Learn the art of food modeling with a variety of edible delicious ingredients! I bet you never thought you can make tacos out of cake? Join us and learn how! We will be making dessert chicken drumsticks, pasta with meatballs, pizza, sushi and more! All ingredients used are nut-free however some pre-made ingredients may be processed in a facility that also processes nuts.Dodgeball- Come have a (dodge) ball with Thundercat Sports! Gator skin safety balls will be used to ensure safety and fun. This program will consist of different dodge ball related games such as: Doctor, Bombardment, Absorption, Jail Break and more. But the real excitement begins when they enter the arena, battling it out to determine who will emerge as the ultimate champion of the Battle Robot Workshop! All skill levels are welcome, so whether you're a seasoned RoboThinker or a curious beginner, come join the fun and let the battles begin!Battle Robots: Tanks: We’re back again for round two! This battle-themed camp has students building a variety of different tanks, completing tons of different challenges and doing a bunch of robot battling! This program is designed for seasoned RoboThinkers, but newbies are always welcome– just prepare for a challenge! Demolition Robots: Calling all construction enthusiasts! It's time to put on your hard hats and dive into the world of construction with RoboThink! Get ready to take charge of your own bustling jobsite and create a whole city of your dreams. From operating a dump truck to demolishing structures with a mighty wrecking ball, this camp offers an incredible experience for young builders like you! Don't worry if you've never done it before– with RoboThink by your side, you'll be a construction pro in no time! Nailed It Halloween & Thanksgiving - Just like on the popular TV baking show, kids will be tasked with a challenge to re-create a complex confectionary masterpiece using pre-made ingredients like fondant, cake, cupcakes, rice krispies, and various frostings/icings based on a Fall Halloween and Thanksgiving Themes. No experience necessary, just bring yourself and your imagination! This class is designed for infants and toddlers, typically ranging from 6 months to 3 years old, accompanied by a parent or guardian.  Level 1- In Level 1, participants will learn basic water acclimation and familiarization Level 2- Level 2 swim lessons are the next step for individuals who have already completed Level 1 or have some basic water experience.  Level 3- Level 3 swim lessons are designed for individuals who have completed Level 2 or have a basic understanding of water safety and stroke techniques. Level 4- Level 4 swim lessons are a significant step in honing one's swimming abilities, offering a well-rounded program that prepares individuals for recreational swimming and even competitive swimming if desired.  Adult- Our Adult Beginners Swim Class is tailored for adults with little to no prior swimming experience who are eager to learn how to swim or improve their confidence in the water.  A+ Karate (ages 6-13)-  This new program caters to children who exhibit neurodiversity, particularly those with level 1 Autism Spectrum Disorder, along with individuals diagnosed with other mild forms of neurodivergence. The class size will remain intentionally small, with potential for additional slots based on demand. Each session will run for approximately 30 to 45 minutes.

Please see below for program descriptions:Baby Bombers- Intro to baseball for preschool aged children.Little Bombers Big League- The class teaches baseball fundamentals such as hitting, fielding, (outfield and infield) throwing mechanics, catching, pitching and base running, in a skills and drills type format.All Sports- Intro to Sports for preschool aged children. Each week they rotate through our sports options (basketball, baseball, tennis, gymnastics, soccer, dance, karate)Bitty Bball- Intro to Basketball for preschool aged children.Tiny Dancers- Creative movement class that explores the beginnings of ballet & tap technique. Dancers will learn to follow directions in a structured environment, rhythmic dance, stretching, body awareness, gross motor skills & socialization while using props, fun music and games throughout the class. *Has an end of session performance.Tumble Tots Gymnastics- 2.5 to 5-year-old classes enhance emerging gymnastics skills in an energetic and creative environment. This class is a wonderful place for first-time experiences with a teacher and peers! At ages 4 and 5, children refine basic skills that reinforce a heightened aptitude for all physical sports activities. This class offers great challenges to the older preschooler on scaled-down gymnastics equipment.Beginner Gymnastics- From the very beginner gymnast to the more advanced, everyone continues to learn! Our recreational gymnastics program at The Shrewsbury Club is a non-competitive program that concentrates on introductory gymnastics skills, flexibility, strength, balance and loads of fun!
