Mission and Vision


MISSION

The Grafton Recreation Department offers a robust array of recreation programs, activities and services for Grafton that unite residents of all ages and abilities. We strive to foster community connections, promote well-being, and build/facilitate/support the traditions that make Grafton a cherished place to live and grow.
 
VISION

We aspire to foster a vibrant, engaging community in Grafton where everyone, regardless of age or ability, is encouraged to meaningfully connect with others, improve their health and wellbeing through play, and feel enthusiastically welcomed to explore new recreational opportunities.

We connect by:
  • Building an environment of belonging by providing residents with the resources, either offered through us or through other organizations, to help them accomplish their recreational goals.
  • Consistently eliciting and receiving feedback, to address the community needs in Grafton and beyond, and offering programs to meet that need.
We play by:
  • Offering a variety of different types of recreational opportunities, like sports clinics, summer programs, and enrichment programs.
  • Having fun and injecting the enjoyment of recreation into everything that we do!
We explore by:
  • Always learning and adapting to the newest industry trends in recreation, to be able to offer the highest quality of programming.
  • Continuing to improve our existing and researching new recreational assets in town.
